Second Year
Love, entropy, escape and a journey through Colombia - the year when medicine became heavier and life outside it became impossible to ignore.
Love, entropy and a world beyond lectures.
Second year began with the illusion that I had settled into medical school. Instead, relationships shifted, certainty unravelled and the world beyond university began demanding far more of my attention.
These entries move from love and upheaval into a life-changing journey through Colombia. Medicine remains present throughout, but it is no longer the only force shaping the person behind the student.
The second chapter breaks open.

Second Year is where the medical-school memoir widens into love, upheaval, travel and the first major attempt to build a life beyond the curriculum.
The second year ended far from where it began.
Continue into a year of change, Nepal, volunteering, rock bottom and the difficult work of rebuilding a life with greater intention.
